Hi-- In my search for a Cat 22 I'm came across this boat and am thinking about traveling a few hours this weekend to go see it. Not sure if this would be a good deal and so I'd appreciate any comments and/or suggestions before I go to look at it. The boat is in Oklahoma and is a fresh water boat. The asking price is $4,250 and it comes with the following stuff: Inventory of Sails: Jib 2-150% Genoa 160% Drifter 2 - Main sails One Main, Jib and one Genoa are Catalina sails The other Main and Genoa were made by Kerr Sails Year of: Boat - 1981 Motor - 4 horse Mariner Outboard (motor dosn't have 5 hours on it) Trailer - Sail On No Battery but all wiring is there(battery died) Extras: Lowrance locator (depth finder) Life Jackets Porta Potti Cockpit Cushions Cabin Cushions Anchor All Lines Ran To Cockpit Adjustable Backstay Whisker pole Fenders Sail Covers Winch Covers Bimini and cover Galley Both boats have the dinette area modified to convert to a queen size bed Some blisters on bottom but are small bottom job is needed No leaks New kick up rudder

If this is a fresh water boat and is as clean as you say it sounds like a pretty decent deal-certainly worth taking a close-up look. Any chance you could find someone familiar with sailboats (or C-22, in particular) to go with you? I know when I bought my first one I had to rely on the owner and my own gut instict (which turned out okay, I might add). Good Luck!

Sounds Great!

I had to drive a bit to find mine(chicago)...but it had a few more "issues" than the one your looking at...I did not get cockpit cusions, depth finder .sail covers.. or bimini... my boat is a few years older than this one (76') It does have a 9.9 outboard ..anyway i paid 3500 for mine! this sounds like a good deal for you and it is hard to go wrong with c-22's go for it!
