Hey..this site is awesome..looks like I am going to get some great ideas for mods and maintenance of my new toy..this is my second post..my first one was a question about the year of my boat..Its too late now but was just wondering if you guys think i got a good deal on my boat..its a 1980 or 81 or 83 (not sure yet), oday 25 cb-bow and stern pulpit,custom bimini,older furling (but still works fine) with a very good condition 135 genoa, 1 year old mainsail, extra older mainsail with extra jibs,new mainsail cover,swim ladder,03 yamaha 9.9 4 stroke electric start,(previous owner bought new in o3)-seems to be running well,depth, compass,anchor,coast guard stuff, built in vhf, and outside speakers(not sure if they are working because radio would not work-one of my first issues to tackle), also gave me an outboard stand, and 4 boat stands for winter storage, porta potty, and cockpit cushions. The hull appears to be in great shape and so does the deck and cabin-$3500..I will post some pics shortly

I also appreciate that a society can come together, and decide, as a whole, and over the objections of some (which is the point of a Republic such as ours) to do great deeds, such as defeat an enemy, a disease, or send a man to the moon. So if our great nation decides it is our goal to take on health care or ( fill in the blank) then we can do that, even if some object. There were many who objected to war with germany, many who objected to the panama canal. Many who will object to other great things our nation will do. Mainly they will object out of some sort of fear that they will lose some material thing, or some right or liberty. Often these fears prove unfounded.
