Hi and Hello to all,
just wanted to say thank you for this great forum.been a lurker for years.was going
to join earlier,but i wanted to stay off of you tube and not end up in the"boat ramp diasasters"section.
My boat is a 1978 h27 shoal keel,yanmar,3 blade prop fridge optioned rig.was in water 3 yrs.
Built trailer from scratch.strap retrieved tje boat this saturday.worked great.didnt even have to adjust the roller arms.she scooted about two feet to the tower and winched the rest.very happy to have it home.major piece of mind.thx.tony

Good for you! You are one lucky guy to have that trailer fit that good the first time. how about some photos? That's a great size boat by the way. I suspect she's the practical max for regular trailering. I remember a guy from Arizona YC who trailered his Catalina 27 all over.

Wow, that is one serious trailer. Good job!
Question though. How are you able to insure that the weight is on the keel and not on the hull?

When we first loaded it on the trailer i went down with a searchlamp in a ziplock bag and verified the keel was putting weight on the rollers,had the rear arms up a little high,so i dropped them down to the zero height adjust ment.out of the water i made sure i could turn the wobble rollers,wich i can,and kept an eye on hull indentations..so the weight had to go somewhere.it .as to be on the keel.six of the middlekeel rollers show a good bit of compression
