Thank you Mainsail

For your links/information. (A lot of great Information)
As a newbie I could see that my Universal engine has 2 fuel filters to replace. If I had not read this link. http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/facet_fuel_pump_filter I would not had known that the Fuel Pump housing has a fuel filter inside of it. $9.00 at NAPA. The old filter was really dirty, I am guessing maybe the previous owner did not know that their was a filter in there.

Thank You

I had a friend mention that he mounted his electric fuel pump upside down so when he removes the bottom cap (now the top cap) to change the filter that he does not drip any diesel fuel from the cap to run down into the bilge. Sounds like a good idea. Does anyone know of any negative impact if an electric fuel pump is mounted upside down?

Thanks
