I am buying a new Yamaha 2.5 4 stroke. There is a big difference in price on line ($800) or at a dealer (up to $1200) Is it a big deal getting it ready? Don't you just add oil and gas and off you go.

I couldn't find that big a price break online, and I was happy to buy from a guy who is the only person to deal in any sailboat equipment within a few hundred miles. The only difference was that the dealer did the initial checklist and break in (half hour, variable speeds). They also offered the first winterization free, but I do that myself.

I'd go with the online option- $400 seems too good to pass up.
