Greetings and thanks to everyone for your comments about our online Westerbeke coverage. We have heard your pleas and we have made some changes. Starting later this week we will officially open an all new Westerbeke information section as part of the Marine Diesel Direct Web site. http://www.marinedieseldirect.com/westerbeke/ This new site will feature all kinds of online reference materials and secure online shopping for all Westerbeke parts, spare part kits, service manuals, operator manuals and part books. The site will not "officially" open until later in the week and we have lots of work to do, but we wanted to give all of our friends here at SailboatOwners.com the opportunity to get a sneak peek and let us know just what you would like to see in this all new site. Please send along your comments and we will do our best to publish the information you need the most. While our past online efforts have shown an emphasis toward Yanmar and Universal engines, Torresen Marine has served as an authorized Westerbeke sales and service center for decades. We look forward to your comments as we continue to serve sailors around the world with their auxiliary power needs. In addition to our new Westerbeke offerings watch for expanded information about all our marine engine offerings including Volvo, Perkins, the dependable old Atomic 4 and more. Thanks for your patience as we make our online reference resources better than ever. http://www.marinedieseldirect.com/westerbeke/ Christopher VanOosterhout

Over heating of Westerbeke 20B2 Fresh water

I'm having an over heating problem. Origanally I believe the problem started with engine zincs falling off in heat exchanger plus particlally blocked raw water intake filter. The engine got very hot , worped the head , so I had it removed and shaved. Getting every thing back together, it did heat up a couple of times in getting the bubbles out of the system. I thought I had it under control or still had bubbles in the system but its still heating up and I'm still losing my freshwater coolant into the bilge. I went out the other weekend and ran it for over 2 hrs then it heated up. On the way back after topping up everything it heated up every 20 to 30min. I went down to the dock the other day, started it up and after about 30min. and the new thermostate taken out it still heated up. I topped things up the other day and with the thermostate still out, it didn't heat up but this was for only for about 25min. I have a hot water heater that really doesn't get that hot by the engine. I think it must be a leak in my 5yr old engine itself or hoses? If you have any suggestions, they would certainly be welcome. Thankyou Bill Wells
