Hi there!
Congratulations to your purchase of a great boat, the Albin Vega!
As far as I know It must be built in 1973. # 2003 and 2005 are boats laying in Sweden.

Hello All,
I've finally made the move and bought a Vega. She is #1331 and is powered by a two cylinder (13 hp) Yanmar FWC Diesel. Her name is "Sin Tacha" which is Spanish for "Without Faults" or "Flawless". She is somewhat less than that right now, but I plan to remedy that situation over the next year or so.

Her home port is Victoria, BC Canada and she is now docked nearby at Pedder Bay Marina.

My plans are to sail her immediately, making necessary repairs as needed (new exhaust, stuffing box, sails, running rigging, etc.).

I have received a lot of support from the people on this forum ... it's existence was a contributing factor in my choice of a Vega.

Peter.

G'Day Peter,

Hope to see you on the water. We moor at Horseshoe Bay.
My boat is not a Vega, but it is an Albin circa '76 :)-)

Hi Folks

I'm an excited new owner of a 1975 Vega #2499 "New Horizons" which has
sailed out of Oak Harbor Marina on the Chesapeake the past six years.
Prior to that she was berthed in South Carolina a short time after
spending time somewhere on the Great Lakes with her first owner.

New Horizons is being transported at the moment to one of the better
sailing inland lakes in Mid-America, Stockton Lake in southwest
Missouri.

I'll no doubt have many questions about her after arrival tomorrow.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi All

Any chance of a couple of measurements. I need the cross-sectional
measurements of the mast profile.

Forward to aft and sideways. My Vega is 120 miles away and need to make
some bits in the workshop

Series I, II and III would be helpful.

Cheers boys and girls

Hi Steve, As promised. Side to side is 3 1/2 inches, Forward to aft looks to
be a hair past 5 5/8 inches. Might just be the paint. Walt

Hi Group -- just bought a Vega yesterday after lots of research and
looking for a good boat. Engine is not running because of inoperative
injector pump, at least that is what the previous owner told me. Any
ideas what to look for, how much it cost to rebuild the pump if it
needs it?
