Always happy to get more storage. Had someone make shelves for both sides of the v-berth.

The Shelf Looks Great!

Maybe I'll do something similar... some day.

Looks nice - I am inspired to do something similar. We find that V berth is a real spacious and cozy nest.

Looks good I to want to do the same, curious how are they supported in the middle of the run against the hull liner.?

Brackets epoxed to the hull. Also, the shelf is plywood covered top and bottom with formica. Since the hull is uneven on the inside, he ran a piping along the back to cover up any irregularity and to keep anything from going into the crack in the back.

Very nice but I can't do that. One of my favorite spots to read is with my back against the hull under that light. Maybe I could do just the forward half on both sides. I do have those hammock-like nets which work but are not nearly so neat.

On the top of Bill's project pile is a gooseneck light to install so he can read in the v-berth with his back against the hanging locker wall.

Re: Looking Good

Nick you are already ruined by a year in Florida. It was well above forty degrees today and you are calling it cold. Five years ago this was balmy even for you. ;) For you I hope it stay moderate until you have the head south again. Enjoy your visits.

The 110AC lights that are in my v-berth and vanity, were those standard? Like a small spot, excellent for reading. I only use them on shorepower. I have never heard anyone mention those. And I don't have a single picture showing those. One is on the aft bulkhead of the hanging locker over the vanity sink and the other is on the forward bulkhead of the hanging locker. I do have some interior pictures of other boats and do not see it. On my boat it is where you see the flowers.

On the newer boats all lights are 12volt which is great, years ago I had a older camper which had 1 110 and next to it 12 volt and than later all boats and campers switched to all 12 volt with converter to run on shore power and that was great.
Hey it is 32% here help me I miss our Florida weather but nice to be with my MOM and grrand kids and family for XMAS.
My son got a new snow blower so we good if it snows.

I have a clip on 110v with a 60 watt bulb. Obviously only usable in a slip but great for workng in a dark engine compartment or locker.
