Comments, I contacted a local marina and asked if anyone taught sailing. I hooked up with a retired guy who was willing to go out at my schedule. I paid for lessons. He was full of knowledge and information. I also started by buying "Sailing for Dummies". That will cover all subjects from stepping on the boat through how to tie knots. Learn correctly and sail often.
