New (to me) cleaning product

I've been using the recommended Collinite Fleetwax with great results on my fiberglass. I decided to spruce up the metal to match so I bought a bottle of Collinite Metal Wax to see what it can do. They make 3 claims
  • Removes rust, salt deposits and heavy film
  • Leaves behind radiant, durable wax coating
  • Protects against future pitting and corrosion
I didn't have any rust to speak of (freshwater) but my metal wasn't bright at all. I am very excited about the results of just a little elbow grease. My bow roller has a mirror-like finish now. My cleats look like chrome. My railing and bimini bows are bright again. My teeth never looked brighter ( that was a test to see if you are reading this).
In short, I highly recommend this product. Not sure how long the finish will last, but it does have a wax. The directions say you can follow up with Collinite’s last step waxes (No. 845, 925 or 885).

You lost me when you got to the "elbow grease " part"! Sounds like a good product. I'm doing a short haul tomorrow for bottom paint, so maybe a good time to try your suggestion. But you said "bottle" , so I assume a liquid?

:) Yep, it's a liquid. I'm not sure why the linked picture didn't stick. I'll try another source.
Careful where you order it from. I bought it for $15 on Amazon. WM has it for $28 plus shipping

I’m a fan of collinite products. I use the 885 and sometimes there cleaner wax on my boat and cars. I’ve never tried the metal wax. I will pick some up and give it a try.

It would be interesting to hear how effective it is in harsher saltwater environments. I have to finish up my stanchions when
Any chance you could repost the before/after pics? Looks like it didnt upload correctly
It was just a picture of the product. I didn't think to take any 'before' pictures but I can take some 'afters'.
On some metal areas, especially the cleats, the rag turned black from all of the removed tarnish. Made me think of my time in the Marines and polishing my brass. I had to tape off my deck so I wouldn't get the black on the white 'glass. It was a PITA to get out if I didn't remove it right away. Other areas the rag stayed fairly clean but the metal brightened. I imagine I'd see similar results with something like Brasso, but the Collinite has a wax.
