Hi everyone I just got my first boat and it's a telstar 26. Picked up the loose bits and engine yesterday going to get the actual boat and bring her home next week.

How does everyone get on towing their's?

Welcome. Did you get a trailer with the boat?

Original not necessary.

The boat must fit on the trailer. The trailer must be sound and street ready - lights, brakes, greased bearings, bunks to support the hull, and good tires. It needs to be able to slip in and out of the water and be towed by your vehicle.

Enjoy the boat, she is the star. The trailer is just a stunt vehicle - supporting actor.

Update

The boat is home! Sketchiest tow ever!
Checked all the straps that were on and put a new one over the mast to make sure that didnt come off.
Stopped 10 miles in to check straps and retighten 5 mins later on a down hill the car in front braked and so did I.
One big bang and the rear bunk folded over dropping the boat on its armas on the actual trailer! One side is all bent in due to the weight and the other now has a massive crack in it! Managed to get home very gingerly now just trying to work out how to lift it to get the bunks back in place and take the weight off the armas!

I love my life!

Did put my 3t trolley jack and some bits of sleeper under the rear but heard cracking and saw the hull bend in. Could take it down local marina to lift but dont really wanna drive it much further
