I wanted to ask if anyone has ever installed a teak and holly deck (cabin floor that is) in their O'day 25. I have been pondering this modification and I was wondering if anyone had any experience/results to share. I would think it would be as easy as drawing a template and carefully fitting and gluing the pieces. Comments?

Nice idea but for me at 6', it would reduce the already too little head room. See you on the Bay.

That is an issue! I'm 6'1" myself....it would certainly dress it up, though! I'll be looking for you in the Spring. Chuck

I have been researching doing the exact same to my oday 30. I have found a teak and holly 1/4 inch plywood veneer at public lumber in Detroit. The idea of making a pattern out of micarta, cardboard or luan plywood then using 5200 as an adhesive seems the best approach. If you have any other idea's I would be glad to hear. Wes Carroll

RE: Cabin Floor

WES, Pretty much what I was thinking about...I'm hoping to get some measurements and layouts done in a couple of weeks when I peel the winter cover of the boat. I do have a 1975 CB, so I have the winch post to deal with. I've been thinking of removing the post and relocating the winch, but I stopped in and spoke to Rudy at D&R and he suggested I check out a later model to study the issues with moving the c/b line....so that has me a little puzzled. Hopefully, I'll be able to check out a later model and figure out a suitable modification. Let me know how you come along with your project. Chuck
