Well, I found a used Origo stove to replace the pressurized Princess stove my boat came with. It's the model with the oven though so installation should be fun! Has anyone done this on a 27? I have a pretty good idea of what I'll be doing since I have to chop up the galley pretty good but any tips would be of great help. The one thing I'm not sure about is how hot the exterior of the oven gets while on. Anyone have an idea? LaDonna

Are you sure you want an oven?

my boat came with a LPG stove with oven. In reality, I don't think I will ever use the oven. I think I will use the stove top however. I do wish it came with only a LPG stove top, and instead of the space used for the oven, I would rather have galley cabinet space. Just a thought. Roc

My thought process

The fact of the matter is, all I'll be losing is the footwell for the port settee in which I only keep my toolbox. Actually, a friend sold it to me far cheaper than I could ever find just the stovetop (even used) and figured it would raise the interest-level, if not actual value, of the boat if/when I decide to sell her. The fitting of it shouldn't be a problem cuz the space is almost perfect. Just a few small cuts. I know the likelihood is that I'll never use it but, hey, for less than just a stovetop, I could hardly pass it up (I'm a sucker for a bargain)! I suppose I'll have to light her up to find out how hot she gets. LaDonna

If You Use the Oven

If you decide to use the oven, you'll have better results if you use something to difuse the heat from the burner to avoid a hot spot.
