Hello all, just a quick note. I am about to become the person looking after and sailing a 42ft on behalf of the owner. As yet she has not arrived in Canada but will be doing so soon. I will have to go and oversee her commissioning and become familiar with all aspects of her. I'm sure I will be posting questions here and look forward to receiving answers from you all. I am originally a Brit, we all have a cross to bear! I have been sailing since I was young, a lot of dinghy sailing at first then moving up to bigger yatchs. I have sailed off the Welsh coast and in the English Channel. In addition I have delivered boats from the US to the Carribean and back. This will be the first yatch that has been my sole responsibilty on a long term basis. I have a background in welding and fabrication including TIG work and specialty fabrication. I have also a good general understanding of engine and power systems but am a bit weak on the electrical side, must be the LUCAS in me coming out!
