I own a 1978 Hunter Cherubini 33, and I want to replace the standing rigging. I have already asked for a quote from Rigging Only, can any one out there share other reliable sources that treat sailors right and reasonable?

..to recommend a rigger in Japan when all we know about is our local guys. If you are going to do this job yourself, then you can remove the stays and ship wherever. You could use SECO South, I've included a link to their site. For the best riggers in your locality you will need to talk to the local YC or yard.

Hi Okiman; I have used West Marine rigging, and were please with their work. Just ship your old rigging to them and they will duplicate. Check their catalog for details. fair winds Dave

I was very happy I used West Marine
I had a local rigger do the job but he ordered everything from West Marine. Two years later the rigging had started to rust. West Marine had some bad wire and knew of the problem. Everything was rerigged under warranty. I think it pays for quality in this area. Very happy the rigger used West Marine.

Rigging Only
When I replaced my rigging, I ended up with Rigging Only. Very proffessional, gave good advise, prompt shipping, stood behind their products. I was pleased and would use them again without hesitiation. Ours was a "long distance" relationship with my boat being on the west coast and me doing the work myself. Rick

Rigging - Self Help
Thanks for the replys on replacing my standing rigging. I will travel to the states this summer and plan to hand carry the new rigging back with me (extra suit case). Traveling over the Pacific, I can have 2 bags at 70 lbs. each. Buying standing rigging in Japan is much more expensive. Thanks again for your time.
