I want to replace the main & jib halyards. Does anyone know the length, to save me the time of measuring/estimating? Thanks, Jim Miller San Diego

I=Measurement Plus

Jim: If you take your "I" measurement (30' x 2 = 60') plus any additional length you should have it. If you buy these pre-made, they will probably be too long anyway. Then you can just cut off the excess.

Halyard Length

Jim, When I replace halyards on my 25.5 I order 75' of rope. This is a few feet extra since I do my own splicing. Its better to be a bit long than short! I use 3/8" Sta-Set X for my main halyard and 8mm T-900 for the jib. The T-900 is probably overkill but I like it for its low stretch and weight aloft savings. Dick Vance h-25.5 "Honey Bear"
