Yeah, I wouldn't use epoxy for an interior lamination like that, either. For properly smooth, tight joints, clamped well so that the glue doesn't foam up, Gorilla Glue is a fine choice for this application, and even Titebond 2 or 3 would be good also.

That is a great looking table! Do you feel the need for fiddles on the sides to keep stuff from slipping off? Or are you only using the table in a protected area with limited wave action? Do other boat wakes disturb a table enough to require fiddles? These are questions I've been wondering if I build a table myself…
i choose no fiddles because i like to sit at the table with my forearms resting on the edge of the table ( mother always said don't put your arms on the table) and fiddles make it uncomfortable doing that ....so for things slipping of in rough water i will use some kind of matte that is rubber based to slow that down some.....

Woodster, they make those mesh-y waffle-y looking latex non-slip mats which could work for you. For my single burner butane stove, I have been using a silicone baking sheet. I figure it protects the surface from any potential heat (not that there is potential heat) and it's grippy enough that the metal stove doesn't slide around on non-skid molded gelcoat. And, the one I found at Bed Bath and Beyond sorta looks like a placemat. More expensive than a vinyl placemat would be, but stickier, I guess. Maybe that would help you out…

Big fan of gorilla glue here also, just have to watch out for foaming, and don,t get it on your hands, it turns black, and can,t be washed off, you have to wait couple of days for it to wear off.... Red

can you come out to San Diego and redo the salon table on my Hunter 376? My OEM salon table is HUGE. There have been a few posts showing how some have modified the table.

Great job both of you.

Bob.
