I just got a new set of sails and even befor I had a chance to use them I got 3 small stains on them. The stains are anti-seize, the copper colored stuff. Any way I can remove them without hurting my new sails? HELP Chassure
Talk to a local sail loft and they will likely have a free sheet on how to clean your sails. If they are dacron you can use almost anything! They use paint thinner to remove the hull numbers, acetone on other stains, and even dilluted oxalic acid on rust, etc. They are quite tough. Mylar is a different story. Talk to a pro.
