Just finished a lot of work on my 1980 cat 30 last month while we had her hauled for a week. Also stepped the mast for some work and paint... The original wooden spreaders were in great shape and just needed maintenance... If they needed replacement, I would opt for wood again.... Just my preference...

I shipped both the main and jib to sailcare last year. The sails came back looking and feeling like new sails. I also had them recut the main and sew on a new genny UV cover. Very pleased with the work, my main is now flat as a board. Around $1,500.
