Welcome aboard Kathy and here's a few words of wisdom! "A sailboat can operate without the motor or sails and rudder or even mast but without cocktails she is merely a floating hulk! When i bought my O'Day two years ago I explained to the surveyor that my first project would be to add an inverter to the electrical systems so the blender can make margaritas while on the hook. He said "Glad you have your priorities straight!" On a more serious note I started from the bottom up, replaced everything that could spring a leak, total bottom job and a good rigging check with a few replacements where needed.
