I spent two days sailing in Hell's Canyon last weekend. The lake is formed by a dam that backs up the Snake River, which borders Oregon and Idaho. Extremely hot weather, like over 100 degrees F at night. Some whitecapping winds in the afternoon followed often by calms. Extraordinary scenery. 300 feet deep in most places, rocky and sandy bottoms. Incredible heat lightening at night. John S
