Good Starter Boat

Just have someone check the shrouds to make sure the mast stays up. Other than that... Enjoy! Rick D.

My brother has one

He has owned it for 10+ years and has throughly enjoyed it. When he got new sails it turned into a very competitive boat in the local fleet. David

Why that boat?

Hello, If you are just looking for a cheap decent sail boat to get out on the water and have some fun with, I think you can do a lot better. For $2K you should be able to find a boat that is just about ready to sail. How about starting with something smaller, like in the 22-24' range? There are lots of Catalina, Oday, Newport, Hunter, etc. boats out there that would be a great first boat. Get an outboard engine, tiller, decent sails, and get on the water! You will probably need to give the boat some TLC, but nothing like a new motor. Good luck. Barry
