New rudder for my H260

Hello,

I'm in the process of changing the foss foam rudder (H260) I have
to a Idasailor.I'm not sure if I reallly need the 56 inches version; 48 inches version may be ok.
I spoke with Joel but I'm still hesitating and would like to get your advices and experiences if possible;

I occasionnally do coastal trips (St-Lawrence River, Saguenay river) but mainly inland lakes like Champlain and Ontario.

The longer rudder will give you better control. You just dont want it hanging below the keel.

48"

I changed to the 48" and have been very happy with the performance. I would not like the extra length to worry about. I too sail on inland lakes.
