New Propane Tank

I am having difficulty locating a supplierfor a replacement 4.25-Lb (1-gallon) propanetank like the one supplied with my Cat-30 (1992).If anyone knows of a supplier for a direct-replacement (with new overfill protection valve)that will fit in the tank locker, please let meknow. New Lid

The standard tank with the overfill protection valve is about a half inch taller than it used to be. Seward makes a new lid for the tank locker that will fit over the new valve.I didn't replace my tank, I just took it to a propane place and had it re-certified. New valve, sandblasting

Modifying your cover

I had the valve replaced on my tank too. One thing to note: you lose about 1 1/2 lbs of content due to how the new valve is configured, but it's cheaper than a replacement tank. As far as the cover goes, I simply used a router on the inside cover lining where it came in contact with the new fitting. The gasket keeps any vapors inside the box.
