I kinda like the idea that my computer does not "ring" every time some one on this, lets call it what it is, BBS posts a message.

don't see the advantage of clicking on a "twitter link" and coming here or just navigating over and reading the post from here.:confused:
I guess if you are spending all your time telling folks what you are doing in twitter it would a help. Course you could just leave sailboat owners open in its own window and hit refresh once in a while.........
I'd rather go sailing:)

Twitter is most certainly used more by younger i-net users, but it's also a good place to aggregate news feeds.

What's behind the stuff on Twitter is an RSS newsfeed which many people prefer because it brings the content to you, but in way less intrusive and more organized than email.

If you have a newsreader you canalso subscribe to the feed on the lower right side of the Twitter screen.

If none of that is of any interest there's a simple solution... don't use it. ;)

i gave up programming computers for operating equipment that doesn't have any (much more reliable) i dont even have a gps and dont want one. if i dont know where i am without a computer i dont need to be there!
