I've posted a new photo-article that shows some of my improvements to my H216. swim-ladder, trailer guides, spare-tire, tarp, mast support, hooks... In the upcoming year I may try some ideas for quick-release and attachment of the shrouds... anything to trim off a couple of minutes for set-up and take down..

Good job on the improvements!

Hi Jeff, Good job with the improvements to your H216. Would you recall the brand name of the stick on hooks that you used in the cabin? Lamar Sumerlin

3M make the hooks

with a removable adhesive (you pull it from a tab and it stretches and stretches until it disengages) and you can get them at Home Depot/Lowes/local hardware store/dollar store etc. They work really well.

3M

Yes, I used the 3M hooks. I choose the largest ones they had so they would hold the best. As far as boat projects go, there are not many projects as easy to do as putting stick-on hooks in the cabin. All you need are a couple paper-towels, some rubbing alcohol (to clean the surface), and perhaps a flashlight (to see what you are doing). No matter how many hooks you get, you will find something to hang on them...

Guess I need the larger hooks

I used those 3M hooks to hang a set of hanging pockets and I must have put too much "stuff" in the pockets because in the summer the sticky stuff broke free and the hooks came off. I'll try bigger hooks and more of them to support the load. That's the American way bigger and more;)! God Bless America! Like you said, you can always use more hooks to hang stuff or something to that affect.

larger hooks

Be sure to clean the area well with rubbing alcohol before apoplying the stick-on hooks. I bought the biggest hooks Lowes sold. Don't event think about the medium sized (or small) ones. If you need to hang a hanging pocket, you might want to consider using some sort of rivet through the thin plastic liner in the cubby. I've been thinking about putting another hanging pocket in my boat (like the one that comes with the boat). You can't have too many storage places!!! If I find a pocket and end up using rivets to secure it in place, I'll post pictures for everyone. Jeff
