Hello all............I have just purchased my first boat!!!!!! a 1994 Hunter 29.5 called "Miss Faith" and she is a beaut! I moved over here from England nearly 3 years ago and got into sailing, found out Hunters are a great boat and here I am. I have a question though ; Miss Faith has a couple of leaking Portals (imagine that?)and wonder where owners get the rubber O ring type sealing gasket that fits into the body that the hinged opening portion compresses to seal it up when closed? The leaks are nto bad but there!! Hope you can help me. Thanks and here's to many more conversations with you all. Cheers!! Neil

She looks beautiful! Not sure who's portlights Hunter used on your boat, but you might try the link listed. Often, you can clean them real good and stop a leak. They shouldn't be in too bad of shape after only 10 years. I assume you are speaking of the portlights. Most marine stores sell the round rubber gasket for your hatches. Good luck......Gary

I cured the leak on our 1989 H28 by first...
cleaning the port light gasket material then applying a good coat of liquid silicone that I purchased from a local pool maintenance store. It came in a small plastic bottle (maybe one quarter ounce) and has the viscosity of cold honey. A little goes a long way. BTW congrats on your new boat. It is one of Hunter Marine's more popular boat models. Terry
