well i bought it thks to the two guys who told me what to look for in buying used boat question 1 can i use a 10 hp on it2 is there an easer way to raise mast beside hanging on to rigging and screwing the turnbuckle3 whats the proper way to secure rigging while towing it around4 is there suppose to be a bilge pump on it5 water collected in forward compartments under cushions leaking in from air hood can i drill hole in it to let it outtks thats enough for now

hello John, well, you can use a 10 hp. On it but you won't go much faster than with a 6 1/2 but with more weight added to the transom.No bilge pump is needed and if you look around, you won't see many boats with after marketpumps.CATALINA DIRECT sells a forestay upgrade that allows you to pull a pin and release a lever to lower the mast.I secure my rigging around the mast with bungy cords.Don't know about the water problem with out seeing it.Good luck john
