Greetings all,
I just put a contract on a 1999 Catalina 310 that I will be purchasing from the original owner. I will keep the boat on the coast of Georgia and live a little south of Savannah. The boat that I have a contract on is actually hull #1 which I thought was unusual but the owner seems to have kept it in excellent condition. The survey will confirm that (or not)... I am moving to this boat after selling my Rhodes 22 that I owned for 12 years and decided to sell thinking it would take me a year or more to sell it. Of course it sold in two weeks and so I have been looking at boats for three months and the C-310 looks perfect for my wife and I.
The Rhodes has a great owner's email list that was very helpful and so I am looking forward to participating in this forum because while the R-22 is a great boat, the C-310 is a lot more boat and a lot more complicated.
Will close on the boat in Feb and sail it north to GA in March.
All the best,
Bob
