Just above the listing of posts you'll see a new link to 'owner reviews, photos, etc.' We have more than 3,000 reviews (and roughly the same number of photos) on file currently, but they're mostly concentrated on a dozen or so boats. Please click the link above and if you don't find data for your boat... add it! I think you'll particularly like the photo system. Photos are automatically sized so you don't need to worry about editing them if you don't know how. They must be jpeg format. I also hope you've found some of the shared forums we offer: Peggie Hall's Head Mistress forum, Ask All Sailors, and Don Guilette's Sail Trim forum among them. If you have questions or comments about this new addition, or anything else on the site, you can contact me at phil@sailboatowners.com Thanks for participating!

Wannabe Balboa 26' Sailor

Looking for info. on 26' Balboa fixer-upper: has Pella diesel w/low hours, needs teak and all wood replaced on outside, but appears basically sound...on good trailer w/new tires -could it be a good investment, and what's so special about this boat in general?

Balboa 26 sails well

I have owned a fixer upper Bal 26 for 2 years now.Sailing now this fall has become a joy because she points and sails so well. Great stability due to retractable keel.Points great as she is in a beam reach.Very stable and heels with a solid feel also. The rudder under the boat along with the tiller can be awkward since I use an outboard when docking, but she performs so well, that far outweighs any inconvenience. Enjoy your Balboa. Mr. Hess her designer did us a great favor when he designed this boat. My boat is named BAHLIGURHL. Hope you enjoy her as much as I do mine. Just me Tony C.
