New Owner of a Ranger

Hi,
Just bought a 78 ranger 28' my first sailboat. I am fixing her up any recomendations on the electrical system. The wires are there and I am thinking of using terminal strips to find out where all the wires go.

should not be hard , lable as you go . solder and shrink wrap .get rid of most connectors and you will be better fot it ,in the long run.
