O'Day 22 manual

I've attached one that I have for the O'Day 22. I added some other documents that might be interesting. One is a suggested retail listing for an O'Day 222 and accessories.

[www.iheartodays.com/manuals.html] site has copies of most O'Day manuals. The person gets a copy then retypes the entire text so it is readable. There may be other scanned copies found elsewhere.

Do you know what model year? I have a manual for the 1971 Pop-Top model, dioesn't really explain much except how to raise/lower the pop-top. I also have the manual for the newer (1977-85) version. What I have is the expanded versions (Original O'DAY Text with added diagrams and pics) that I have made for the following models;
O'DAY 23, 25, DS II, and Widgeon. Working on expanding the following: 19, 192, 222, 22, 20, and Mariner.

What kind of info are you looking for? The only useful information in my stack of stuff was the rig tuning, which was (paraphrased):

Hand tight, then another turn on the uppers. A shade less than hand tight on the lowers. Backstay taught.

Soulpoet looking for a manual

Brian S thank you for the reply. My boat is a 1982 Oday 23. I was looking for info about proper tension on the stays and also how to set up what appears to be 2 boom vangs although one is definitely for the main sheet. Through trial and I set everything today and I think I did it correctly. Tomorrow will tell the tale when I take her 9 the maiden voyage. I'd still like a copy of the manual if you have one...

Most of them didn't come with a boom vang, so there isn't likely to be much info anywhere in the original paperwork. As to the difference between the two, your mainsheet is likely to be the heavier line. That's not always the case, but if you post a picture of each, we can probably help identify them correctly.
Also, if you see a big S stamped on any of the blocks, they may be for the mainsheet, as ODay used a lot of Schaefer blocks on these boats.
