New Owner 1985 Catalina 30

Well today I moved up from my Sirius 21 to a Catalina 30 tall rig. Biggest boat I have owned is a Catalina 25. Boat is in good shape, but the 135 headsail has not been unfurled in awhile. It has green mold or mildew on part of it. Any ideas on cleaning it off?

Without seeing the sail it is difficult to say. My first thought would be to remove the sail, check the condition which you might already have done, then I would consider sending it to be repaired and cleaned
at a company called "Sail Care" in Ford City, Pa.....On our daysailor they came back re-stitched, looking
basically brand new.....they also kept in touch with me so there were no big monetary surprises. Good Luck!
