upgrading outboard engine
the honda 9.9 is a good choice you will love the 4 stroke.....if you have to remove the motor mount on your transom be sure to lubricate the nuts on the thru bolts with liquid wrench or some penetrating oil, since these bolts or nuts haven't been removed for sometime they may be corroded together and you will wring the bolt off creating a big problem. Make sure when you put torque on the wrench the nut moves and not the bolt, get down there and watch the bolt while you apply the torque on the wrench.....Good luck
