Took a run over this morning to check out the new Hwy.90 bridge. Had heard it was supposed to be completed and open in Nov. or Dec. Not so. Although it looks finished, and all the entry roads are completed, the whole thing is striped, guard rails up, but it isn't open. Should be any day from the looks of things, but who knows. Also wonder how long it will take to the old swing bridge out of the way after the new one is finished.

Thats good news

Thanks for the post, and glad to hear that info. I will take another run over that way tomorrow or next day and confirm it's open. Then soon as the old swing bridge is opened/disposed of or whatever, I can get out of here without making the run to New Orleans, and fighting those stupid bridge operators over there. Only bridge I will have now between me and open water is the railroad bridge, and there is a way around it.
