New old book

I love the sketches in that book. When I first picked up that book in Newport's Armchair Sailor's Book Store years ago I fell in love with the Flicka 20 which is illustrated throughout this book. Bruce Bingham put together a lot of nice mods for that book.
Another book that you may want to check out is entitled "Good Boatkeeping" by Zora and David Aiken. It's a blue soft cover book which is thicker than the Sailor's Sketchbook and has a lot of tips, mods, and great illustrations. That's the book that also has that tip about using Zud Cleanser to clean stains in Fiberglas. I suppose that tip is OK if you don't use it on surfaces with caulking but they don't mention that in their book.

When Joe meantioned the sketches book a few weeks back I jumped onto Amazon and got myself a copy. As you say there some nice mods and it is just an enjoyable book to read to see what others have come up with.
Just did the same for Good Boatkeeping. Need something to read these cold winter days when I can not get to the boat.
I do miss having the boat in the back yard so I can run out and do some tinkering.

My boat is sitting next to my house on the jacked up trailer, all covered up but right now there's some snow on the ground and I really don't feel like going inside the boat. I'll wait another month or two and do that.

I found one on Ebay for $25 and bought it.
It was from a bookstore and was new, I don't think it had ever been opened....what a great book, I love the illustrations and I have found a few things I'm going to try.

I figured you'd like that book John. I fell in love with it when I first picked it up at the Armchair Sailor's Book Store in Newport RI. They had boating books in that store up the ying yang. Unfortunately, they went out of business. I'm glad you like the book. I think it's well worth $25.
