O'Day 30 ft Elkton
I went to look at a 30 ft O'day that I tried to walk away from.but was offered a price I couldn't refuse . The engine apparently had air in the line and the po broke one of the bleeder screws on top. There are 3 soft spots one in the cockpit toward the hatch one above the right side chainplane and the floor in the cabin is soft . Already ended up with a sunburned face while working on it so does anyone know of a Bimini that fits the 30 ?

I figured 4 by 8 piece of teak and Holly for the cabin and some wood grate material for now in the cockpit . I'm more worried about checking/reglassing the chainplane then the soft deck first , I wish I could find a wrecked 30 for parts because this boat needs alot. My thoughts were to get it running and sailable then fix other items while enjoying being on the water even if that means in the slip
.

At that price there's nothing to lose. Sounds like you have some work ahead of you. If you do not have the time sell it for 1400 and move on. Have it surveyed to get a better idea. It will cost a little but you will have a better idea of what is involved.
Good luck.
