New O'Day 28 Owner - sink question

I am the happy owner of a very nice O'Day 28 (1981), and have a sink question.

The hose arrangement on my new boat seems a bit odd...

1. The thru-hull underneath the galley sink is connected to the tap above it. Its set up to draw in lake water into the sink.
2. The galley drain simply empties into a bucket
3. The fresh water tank isn't connected to anything
4. The head sink isn't connected to anything (tap or drain)

My assumption here is that the fresh water tank *should* be connected to both the taps of both sinks. This seems a "duh".
The thru-hull under the galley sink I am guessing should be the *drain* for that sink.
What, then, does the galley sink drain into?

That is a strange set-up you have there- should be easy to fix.

28 and 280 Delta? : NO idea.

My ODay 25 had a similar strange sink setup. The sink and icebox drained to a through-hull directly below the sink. Since that is below the water line, the only way you get any draining would be if the boat was healed significantly. There were two sink pumps; one drawing water from a water tank (had one existed), and the other drawing lake water, get this, from the same through hull. Very strange. I've now got the sink and icebox (which is really just storage now since I use the icebox in the cockpit) draining into the bilge, and will connect the new freshwater tank to one of the pumps. I see no real reason to keep the other pump connected to lake water so I'll eventually close up that through-hull.

Clearly the PO's weren't in the plumbing business.
