I just boat a Oday 19 (1972) in very good condition. Unfortunately, I know very little about the boat, not even which model it is! The boat can be seen in the photo forum under Amnesic beauty or Zabu. I would like to know more about its displacement and other specs. And if a copy of the owner manuel can be obtained. Please forward any information available. Thank you.

Are you sure its 19 and not 16?

Michael, I cannot see well enough in the picture, but it looks like your boat has swept stays in place of a backstay. Is that correct? If so its probably a daysailer and is actually 16' 9". If it does have a backstay and I am just blind, its a Rhodes 19. Kick me back some information and we can make the determination and get you specifications. Justin - O'day Owners'Web

Love it!

Mike, I owned one of these O'Day Rhodes 19 boats for about 8 years -- a real blast in any kind of wind. (I always joked that I needed a young gorilla along to "hang out" in stiff breezes, but most of the time my wife and I were able to handle any of the stuff you'd deliberately go sailing in. I enjoyed the way it would "ghost" along in shallow water trimming with the board, I could slip sideways along the reef at Cedar Key until I found a break, drop a little board and slide through -- really neat boat and a great performer. We sailed in the Indian River at Titusville Fl many times and spent several beautiful trips around the oyster "reefs" at Cedar Key on Florida's West Coast. Most of the freshwater time was spent in East Lake Toho at St Cloud. One of the mistakes of my life was in selling the boat. charlie
