I just rebuilt the floor panel adjacent to the nav station on my 1983 Hunter 31. The technique I used and photos are available at the following web site for seeing this project was accomplished. I'm not an experienced wood-worker, so this was a new experience for me. If I can do it, anyone can. Scott

Where did you get the tape?

Very nice job, but where did you find the tape. I could use that on some projects I am working on...

Unless Scott used some special tape...

his blue tape appears to be the same kind that you can get in the paint department of most any home builder's supply house such as Home Depot. We use the tape to mask areas before painting. Once I lay down the tape I use a small roller to make sure it adheres to the surface to prevent paint from bleeding beneath the tape. It comes up easy without peeling off any material that it sticks to. Terry

Tape from local PPG Paints dealer

I obtained this vinyl tape from the local PPG Paints dealer. I suppose some hardware stores carry it as well. It's the same tape I used when painting the hull. Here's the info to locate retailers in your area that carry this product. Ask for product number "471" Toll free phone: 1-866-364-3577 Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Central Time Also, be sure and get the blue tape, not the other colors. The local dealer told me there's a chemical difference. I don't know what the difference it, only that it's better suited for this type of project. And yes, the roller is a good idea; preferably a hard roller rather than a typical paint roller. Otherwise, the project could be easily ruined. I used the palm of my hand, but that was tiresome, and, as you can see on my web site, I still missed a spot. Scott
