Hello everyone,

We have had our Catalina 30 since 2007 and have been pretty happy with it. We started a major project back in 2009. I haven had the time to properly document everything yet. Boat is back in the water and I'm currently finishing wiring the engine. Some of my project pictures can be seen here http://jeunesse27.wordpress.com

I will take the time to post pictures and a short writeup in the near future.

Cheers,

Antoni

I've never seen a Catalina 30 with an outboard. Is that your primary motor?

Welcome,

I don't envy you but I did admire your workmanship. Boats are a lot of work aren't they? :cussing: But they're worth all of it!

It was my primary motor for a little while since the atomic 4 was a bit unreliable. Now I have a freshly rebuilt m-25 :)

Welcome to the site. There is a lot of good information around these parts and all one needs to do is ask the question. I am sure that you will be contributing a lot too.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the site!

what did you do with the old Atomic 4?

edit - WOW.
I just saw the keel work at your site. I've heard that method of repair discussed but never seen pictures. Was it difficult to separate the keel from the hull???

Sold it for parts.
Separating the keel was no issue. It already was separated by 1/4in at the front. It took a steel wedge and 1 blow with a 10lb hammer... Pulling the old bolts out took over 3 months of work with the time we had available.
