New Mattress for 376

I attach my 2003 drawing of the aft cabin tray on 'Autumn Legend' - my H376 of 1996 vintage.

My original intention was to have the mattress in two halves, thereby making it easier to access the lockers underneath.
In the event I spoke with the local Hunter agent who advised that the identical moulding for the bed was also used on the H380 and that they could supply a one piece mattress. I ordered it and it is extremely heavy and doesn't want to go down the main hatch unless you give it hell. I did just this and it is now very satisfactory to sleep on - but heavy to lift in order to access the lockers.

Just one caveat. At 7" thick it is inches thicker than the foam mattress thus making it more difficult for the little woman? to scramble over to get out in the middle of the night for a pee.

I don't know how old you are but it also gives a whole new perspective to your love life when you bump your bum on the headlinings!!!!!!

Did you send them a pattern or did you just supply the dimensions as shown??
I also am in the market for a replacement mattress for my 40.5 will be going to the boat show to check out the vendors there as well did visit the Love my Mattress web site all reviews very positive.

No problem

I've uploaded the image that I used with them.

If anyone wants to know the exact price I will be back on the boat in around 9 days and can look through my receipts (hopefully I still have it somewhere). I will also snap some pictures of the mattress itself in situ.

I do tend to have a bit of a crappy memory though so feel free to bump this thread or pm me in 9 - 10 days!

I sent them the image, we talked through the dimensions as I measured them out on the dock there and then.

They sent me my image back with the dimensions on (as per what I have uploaded) - I double checked them and went with it as it was fine.

My mattress fits perfectly

One more question, I assume the length was either even or just short of the back/head rest with the thicker mattress, which would be easier to access to make up the bed.

It really makes minimal difference compared to the foam - if anything I would say its now a bit easier

Also just for info, I removed the headboard and plan to re-create a better one with some more shelves behind it so I cant really remember what it was like when the mattress was in (if it was a pain I would no doubt remember!)
