I am purchasing a new mainsail for my 1987 P-33. The sailmaker says top three battens full with bottom partial. He also wants to go with no headboard just a sewn in ring. Can anyone comment on these options?
The Full battens Idea sounds fine to me. The no head board is something I never heard of sounds like a labor and materials saver. I got a new Main for my p26 last year it has a hard plastic headboard and top two battens are full. Im an old timer and definitely not the final word on this.
