Any sailors out there with a bolt rope mail sail install a Mack Pack recently?
My new-to-me O'Day 322 does not have any lazy jacks, and it think I want to do a Mack Pack. But I did not want to have to cut slits in the main to accommodate the straps that hold the cover in place. I asked them if they could change the straps for twist locks that I would mount on the boom. They said you no longer have to cut slits in the main, that they use a new strap that fits under the bolt rope. I am having a hard envisioning how you can get a strap in the groove, under the sail.
Curious if anyone has a Mack Pack set up this way, and how hard it is to install it every season.
