What I meant is that my sister-in-law has gotten power-of-attorney over my father-in-law & all of his property. She has shut down the business, gotten it condemned & is trying to sell it out from under my husband. We are fighting her legally, but until we can get her out of power we still need to survive. I would be staying here for any court battles while my husband tries to keep a roof over our heads & food in our mouths. After we get my father-in-law away from her, then we are hoping that it is not too late to save the marina. If it is, then we will make sure that he is taken care of properly for the rest of his life. No nursing homes!!!!! He lost his wife of over 40 years, seven years ago, lost another wife 1 year ago. He wants to go back to his home, with all his memories & die. He wants to be with them. My sister-in-law has him in a rented house, will not let him go down to the marina & will not let anyone talk about the marina in front of him. The only times that he gets to leave the rented house is to go to the doctors. We are not trying to run out on him, we just want to make a new start somewhere else. There isn't much left here for us right now. My husband knows boats, wants to semi-retire & be able to work on whatever he wants to. He bought out all the old Columbia stock years ago & still has most of it.
