It depends on where and how you sail.

Agree......depends on your sailing conditions. Stock sail is a 133.43 sq ft SailboatData.com - HUNTER 26 Sailboat.
The H260 is a fractional B&R rig. Mainsail driven. Its not designed to handle a big foresail/genoa. Might try adding a spi or screecher.
Had new sails built for ours last year. Went with a fully battened main with serious roach - a big difference. Also added 3 reef points - the boat is tender and sails much better flatter & balanced (however its still a clorox bottle). That being said - I believe we increased the jib size to 107% - about all it could accommodate w/the standard rigging. Caveat - need to cut the foot (from tack to clew) high to accommodate the stanchions.

No more than a 110 jib. Mainsail is bigger for more power plus it would be difficult to run jib sheets
