Try Carpet
I still prefer to touch a wall/bulkhead and not burn my hand or freeze it. Carpet is always comfortable to the touch, easy to install, lasts a really long time with no maintenance, and, if you buy the right kind of carpet, is treated to resist stains and odors. This makes it easy to clean. I love the look of wood, but it requires a bit more maintenance. I'm not sure, however, if there is a specifically designed marine-grade carpet made for such purposes. You might call Hunter support and ask them what they're using in newer models. If you do this, please let us know what they are using.OTOH, if you have any leaks down the bulkheads, carpet will soak it up, mildew, and smell. Wood will eventually rot, but might let you see a leak as soon as it happens instead of after it's destroyed something.
