OK, so I hired a Raymarine electrician to go through the sailing instruments and the chart plotter.

The depth head tested OK, the transducer was bad.

The auto pilot tested OK.

The speed has an intermitent tone, however the instrument tested OK. They disconnected the alarm on the speed and the sound went away.
It's the device that makes the tone when you push the buttons.

The autopilot and GPS fired right up with a fix as soon as they disconnected it from the seatalk bus. Now the autopilot gets powered from it's own circuit, not the sea talk bus.

So everything is working, (after they properly rewired the system, it was wired wrong).

Now I am going to install a through the hull transducer. Has anyone had any experience with installing or using these devices, also, How can I tell the difference between my existing depth and speed transducers?
