Like many others my brazed on Hx brackets had broken, so I decided to remove the Hx, have it pressure tested/ boiled and had the brazing remains ground off. After repainting I re-installed with the newer clamp type brackets. The brackets were around $60. As recommended in other posts I lined the new brackets with bike tire inner-tube.
The main reason for the post is that I was amazed how doing this has quietened down the motor. The Hx must have been bouncing all over the motor. The difference was amazing.
