I had the pleasure of being crew on a new H326 last week, We motor sailed the boat from Annapolis MD to the dealer in New Jersey, 200 miles away. The boat was loaded, ncluding the optional Furlboom main sail. We had never used this type of sail before, but found the Furlboom worked well after playing with it a few times. The boats interior was very well done, the cockpit was large and very comfortable. We did a almost non stop, with only a 2 hour nap in Cape May NJ.(34 sailing hours,5.6kn average speed, 10.8 gallons of fuel used)We had the wind to our backs on the Chesapeke part of the trip, the wind from the SW on the Delaware Bay so we sailed close hauled most all night in 14 to 18 knot winds, the ocean part of the trip had the wind behind us again, with 3 to 5 ft seas off the starboard rear quarter, in all these points of sail, we always felt in control and the boat behaved very well.Several things made the trip, Great boat, Yanmar 18hp Diesel,Autohelm 4000 and the GPS!Great boat, but I want the 356!!!!
